Bridgeway is an organization focused on "creating solutions for everyone". One way the non-profit does that is through business services provided by individuals with disabilities. Macomb is home to one of several Affirmative Business centers in Illinois, and we had the opportunity to tour the location recently.
While serving their clients, Bridgeway offers solutions for their business customers. Paper shredding which is used for green packaging, distribution of boys' & mens' formal wear for an Amazon seller, and stencil kits for playground surfaces are all part of the busy work environment. We saw all of this - and more! - on a business visit led by Debbie Moehler, Director of Production & Business Development, and Joey Wise, Work Center Manager in Macomb.
Bridgeway proves that good business practice isn't always just about selling products or providing services. Good business practice can serve a dual purpose to be mutually profitable & beneficial, even in a non-profit environment. We appreciate the opportunity to see a different perspective on local business development!
