"If you want to learn, go to someone that's doing the same thing successfully, and don't be afraid to ask questions."

Colby Fayhee started as an accounting student at WIU, and graduated with a Graphic Communications degree. Art wasn't his first passion, but his uncle encouraged him to do an apprenticeship in tattooing. From there, his interest grew, leading him to be a successful business owner today.

Eleven years ago, Colby opened Lincoln Tattoo Company on the Macomb Square. After spending time doing everything at another business, he decided it was time to manage his own business. He wanted to be involved with the community, and show people a different side of tattoo artists. Now he is booked five months in advance, and manages a healthy balance between home and work life. He was an open book about every aspect: sanitation rules, legal requirements and expectations, generating clientele, and more.

This was the second visit arranged or requested by a CEO student to round out the end of the year. Thanks to Lillie for getting this on the list, and to Colby for making it happen!
