Tenax et Fidelis: Tenacious and Faithful. The motto of the City of Macomb, IL. Incorporated in 1856, we learned a bit more about this town and it's ties to agriculture, the University, and local history.

We spent some time talking with Mayor Mike Inman this week - about his career journey, his own personal business, and what his day-to-day looks like working for the people of Macomb. When asked about the most important quality to be successful in the job, he cited the ability to listen to people - really listen to understand and not just respond. This is something we've heard before, and no doubt we'll hear it again in the future.

Thanks to Mayor Inman for taking some time out of your busy days to meet with our team of young entrepreneurs, and to the City of Macomb for your continued investment in the CEO Program!
